CONTEMPORARY CRAFT GALLERY
535 Julia St., New Orleans LA 70130
I am a self taught mosaic artist from southwest Louisiana. Over the years I have experimented with many different media. I found a new passion when I began mixing my two favorites, clay and glass.
My current works are a fusion of ceramic and glass. By combining hand built clay forms, stained glass, and other materials I have found a way to express myself artistically.
I am constantly inspired by colors and texture found in nature and the graceful proportions of the human body. My pieces usually start from an interesting shard of glass, stone, or broken piece of pottery. The process of embellishing handmade forms and reclaimed objects involves fitting pieces together to create mosaics, which is both relaxing and rewarding.
Please join us for our opening receptions during an
art walk on the first Saturday of every month
in the New Orleans Arts District from 6 pm to 9 pm.
Our current hours are Sunday 10 AM- 2 PM and Monday - Saturday 10 AM - 5 PM or by appointment. Follow us on Facebook for the latest updates or Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
